ORDINANCE 06-58
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE HOMER CITY ZONING MAP TO REZONE PORTIONS OF THE RURAL RESIDENTIAL (RR) TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL ONE (GC1).
WHEREAS, The Homer Advisory Planning Commission reviewed a request to rezone property from Rural Residential District to General Commercial 1 Zoning District; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Advisory Planning Commission held a public hearing on the matter on September 20, 2006, as required by Homer City Code, Section 21.70.020; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Advisory Planning Commission determined there is a public need and justification for the rezone; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Advisory Planning Commission determined the rezone would not have a negative affect on the public health safety and welfare; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Advisory Planning Commission considered the affect of the change on the district and surrounding properties; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Advisory Planning Commission determined that the rezone was in compliance with the Homer Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:
Section 1. The Homer Zoning Map will be amended as per attached Exhibit A, to extend the General Commercial One zoning to include all of:
Lot 2-A-1 Oscar Munson Subdivision No. 4
Section 2. The City Clerk is authorized to sign the map and adhere to the requirements set forth in the Homer City Code, Section 21.36.020. (c).
Section 3. This is a non Code Ordinance of a permanent Nature and shall be noted in the Ordinance history of 21.36.020.
