AN ORDINANCE OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL APPROPRIATING AND ACCEPTING THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF HOME LAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT (DHS&EM) GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,400.00 FOR HOMER'S EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN (EOP) AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, On November 1, 2006 DHS&EM awarded the City of Homer with a grant in the amount of $16,400.00; and

WHEREAS, $16,000.00 of the grant is for planning and $400.00 is for Management and Administration; and

WHEREAS, This grant will ensure the payment of expenses with regard to the EOP.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer Ordains:

Section 1. That the City Council hereby accepts and appropriates a DHS&EM grant of $16,400.00 as follows and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents:
