ORDINANCE 07-17(A)

AN ORDINANCE OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE SALE OF THE OLD LIBRARY BUILDING AND PROPERTY LOCATED ON PIONEER AVENUE WITH THE PROCEEDS BEING USED TO PAY DOWN THE LOAN FOR THE NEW LIBRARY BUILDING FUND.

WHEREAS, The value of the properties and building of the Old Library facility were pledged to the construction budget for the New Library upon relocation into the New Library; and

WHEREAS, The relocation to the New Library has successfully been completed; and

WHEREAS, The appraisal of the Old Library facility and properties has been completed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Homer:

Section 1. The City Council hereby directs the City Manager to take the necessary action to place the Old Library facility and properties for sale in accordance with the property disposal guidelines of the City Code, not later than May 31, 2007.

1. Use the proceeds of the property sale to pay down the loan for the New Library building fund, account number 151-721.

Section 2: The City Manager is also directed to proceed with subdivision of the lot per information previously provided on the properties.

Section 3: This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature, and is a non code ordinance.
