ORDINANCE 07-30

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF HOMER ACCELERATED ROADS AND TRAILS PROGRAM (HART) FUNDS FOR THE PAVING OF THE SOUTHERN 900 LINEAR FEET OF SOUNDVIEW AVENUE.

            WHEREAS, The Public Works Department recommends in Memorandum 07-140 that the southern portion of Soundview Avenue be paved to completely pave the entire road length; and

            WHEREAS, This ordinance was introduced and discussed on Monday, August 27 and a public hearing was held September 10, 2007 during a Regular City Council Meeting; and

            WHEREAS, The HART program has been established to complete road improvements within the community;

            NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer Ordains:

Section 1. The City Council hereby finds that it is the public interest to pave the last section of Soundview and that forming an LID to complete this work is not appropriate.

Section 2. That use of the HART Funds is hereby authorized for the Soundview Avenue Paving Improvements:
