ORDINANCE 07-39

OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING AN ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, COMMUNITY, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (DCCED) GRANT OF $50,000.00 FOR THE SENIOR ACCESS TRAIL AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to the City of Homer for use towards the Senior Trail Access; and

WHEREAS, This project may include constructing a trail connecting Herndon Drive to Pioneer Avenue and constructing a sidewalk or pathway along Herndon Avenue in front of the Homer Senior Center.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Homer:

Section 1. That the City Council hereby accepts and appropriates a DCCED Grant of $50,000.00 for Senior Access Trail as follows:

Section 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

Section 3. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
