ORDINANCE 08-14

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE FY 2008 OPERATING BUDGET BY AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $289,964.00 FROM THE HOMER ACCELERATED ROADS AND TRAILS PROGRAM (HART) FUND FOR SPRUCEVIEW/NOVIEW ROAD RECONSTRUCTION AND PAVING LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT.

WHEREAS, The Spruceview and Noview Road Local Improvement Districts are complete; and

WHEREAS, Costs exceeded the original estimate from 2004/2005 due to construction of a bridge over Woodard Creek and additional gravel needed to construct the road improvements; and

WHEREAS, Property owner’s assessments remain the same as they are based on a fixed per frontage foot methodology; and

WHEREAS, The original estimated total project cost for Spruceview and Noview Roads was $1,175,184.00 and the actual total project costs are $1,465,148.00, for an increase of $289,964.00.

NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

Section 1. The FY 2008 Operating Budget is amended as follows:

Section 2. This is a budget amendment ordinance, is not permanent in nature, and shall not be codified.
