ORDINANCE 08-35(A)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE
SMALL BUSINESSES THE PURPOSES OF REDUCING WATER
WHEREAS,
The City Council received copies of the 2007 Comprehensive Annual Financial
Report (Audit) and heard a presentation from the Auditors at its regular
meeting on
WHEREAS, The Audit indicates that General Fund revenues exceeded expenditures by $1,458,126 in 2007 and that the fund balance increased by $1,123,964.
Section 1. The Homer City Council finds that
appropriating $500,000 from the General Fund Reserves for the purpose of
providing a temporary reduction in water and sewer bills for
small business is in the public interest and appropriates the money
as follows:

Section 2. The Manager and the Finance Director are directed to propose a recommended plan to implement this ordinance and bring it back for Council approval at the first Council meeting in September or at second reading.
Section 3. This is a budget amendment ordinance, is temporary in nature, and is a non-code ordinance which shall not be codified.
