ORDINANCE 08-45

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE FY 2008 HARBOR RESERVES BUDGET BY AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $30,000 FOR DEEP WATER DOCK SECURITY GATES.

WHEREAS, The operations at the Deep Water Dock need security improvements as required by the Department of Homeland Security and United States Coast Guard; and

WHEREAS, Without these security improvements the City is subject to penalties and fines; and

WHEREAS, These improvements consist of gates at the approach to the dock and Public Works has established the cost of these improvements at $30,000.

NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

Section 1. The City Council hereby amends the FY 2008 Harbor Reserves Budget as follows:

456-380 Harbor Reserves $30,000

Expenditure Description Amount

456-380 Deep Water Dock Security Gates $30,000

Section 2. This is a budget amendment ordinance, is not permanent in nature, and shall not be codified.
