ORDINANCE 08-52(A)(S)

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING A LOCAL MATCH IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,800 FOR THE ALASKA ENERGY AUTHORITY GRANT FOR PRE-CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE HOMER WATER MAIN HYDROPOWER PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

            WHEREAS, The City has been awarded a $31,200 grant from the Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) to complete pre-construction services for the Homer Water Main Hydropower Project and is required to provide a 20% match of pre-construction costs; and

            WHEREAS, Pre-construction costs for the Homer Water Main Hydropower Project is $39,000, the City’s match at 20% totals $7,800.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Homer:

Section 1. That the City of Homer appropriates a local 20% match for pre-construction costs for the Homer Water Main Hydropower Project for Turbine Electrical Generators in the Water Distribution System as follows:

Section 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

Section 3.    This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non-code ordinance.
