ORDINANCE 09-26

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE FY 2009 CAPITAL BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $10,000 FROM THE PORT RESERVES FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEEP WATER DOCK BUOY REPAIR.

 

            WHEREAS, The Deep Water Dock has three breasting dolphins and two mooring buoys used to secure large vessels to the dock; and

 

            WHEREAS, One mooring buoy became detached from its anchoring system and drifted into the mouth of the harbor, damaging the buoy; and

 

            WHEREAS, The buoy was inspected and it was determined repairs can be made to the buoy instead of replacing it.

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

 

            Section 1. The Homer City Council hereby amends the FY 2009 Capital Budget by appropriating $10,000 from the Port Reserves Fund for the purpose of Deep Water Dock buoy repair as follows:

            Section 2. This is a budget amendment ordinance, is temporary in nature, and shall not be codified.
