ORDINANCE 09-31

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE FY 2009 OPERATING BUDGET BY AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $19,000 FROM THE WATER RESERVE FOR THE 10% LOAN MATCH REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE MID-HILLSIDE PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE  (PRV) STATION STAIRWAY PROJECT.

 

            WHEREAS, The Mid-Hillside PRV Station Stairway Project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA); and

 

            WHEREAS, After the enactment of Ordinance 09-14(S)(A) Public Works has learned that the loan for this project is only eligible for 90% forgiveness; and

 

            WHEREAS, The City will actually be responsible for 10% of the $190,000 loan, or $19,000.

 

            NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

 

            Section 1. The FY 2009 Operating Budget is amended as follows:

            Section 2. This is a budget amendment ordinance, is not permanent in nature, and shall not be codified.
