Meeting Synopsis

Session 08-08 a meeting of the Public Arts Committee was called to order by Chair Newby at 12:05 pm on June 19, 2008 in the City Hall Conference Room located at 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, Homer Alaska. Workshop extended from 11:00 to 12:00 pm

Present: Chair Angie Newby, Gaye Wolf, David Anderson, Trina Fellows, Hope Finkelstein

APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Approved with all items of business moved to the next meeting August 21, 2008, due to extended work session

APPROVAL OF SYNOPSIS - June 19, 2008 meeting - Approved

VISITORS – Tom Reed

PENDING BUSINESS

1. Refurbishment of Art Wall

During work session with Artist Tom Reed, assisted in selection of artists to be added to the mural. It will be done July 27^th. Dru will notify the Homer Police of date and time of proposed project. Tom mentioned that maybe 10 years from now, another update would be in order.

After the wall is complete, possibly Homer Council of the Arts will organize a celebration in conjunction with ARTrageous.
