A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AWARDING THE CITY OF HOMER ARP-35 POOPDECK / HAZEL AVENUE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT TO THE FIRM OF HERNDON & THOMPSON, INC. OF HOMER, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $491,766.70 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the invitation to bid was advertised in the Homer News and the Anchorage Daily News on February 3 and 10, 2000, and posted on the City's Home Page; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 2 p.m. on March 31, 2000; and

WHEREAS, five sealed bids were received with Herndon & Thompson, Inc. of Homer, Alaska, submitting the lowest responsive in the amount of $491,766.70; and

WHEREAS, the award is not final until written notification is received by Herndon & Thompson, Inc. from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, awards the City of Homer ARP-35 Poopdeck/Hazel Avenue Road Improvements Project to the firm of Herndon & Thompson, Inc. of Homer, Alaska, in the amount of $491,766.70 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 10^th day of April, 2000.
