RESOLUTION 00-41

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING MAINTENANCE SERVICE VAN BID TO THE FIRM OF CAL WORTHINGTON FORD OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,780.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the invitation to bid was advertised in the Homer News on March 9 and March 16, 2000, and posted on the City's Homer Page on February 24, 000; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 2 p.m. on March 24, 2000; and

WHEREAS, four sealed bids were received with Cal Worthington Ford of Anchorage, Alaska, submitting the lowest responsive in the amount of $18.780 which excludes the option package; and

WHEREAS, Public Works shall order the options equipment and install at the shop separate from the bid purchase; and

WHEREAS, total purchase of vehicle and options equipment is $21,480.00; and

WHEREAS, the award is not final until written notification is received by Cal Worthington Ford. from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska awards the City of Homer, Public Works Building Maintenance Service Van Purchase to the firm of Cal Worthington Ford of Anchorage, Alaska, in the amount of $18,780.00 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 10^th day of April, 2000.
