A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE BID FOR 400 CUBIC YARDS OF CITY OWNED DREDGE SPOILS TO LAND'S END ACQUISITION CORPORATION OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,200.00; GRANTING LAND'S END ACQUISITION CORPORATION'S REQUEST FOR AN ADDITIONAL 200 CUBIC YARDS FOR $10.50 PER CUBIC YARD AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer News on April 27 and May 4, 2000, in the Homer Tribune on May 3, 2000, and posted on the City's Home Page; and

WHEREAS, a minimum bid of $10.00 per cubic yard was set and Sealed bids were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on May 12, 2000; and

WHEREAS, one sealed bid was received from Land's End Acquisition Corporation in the amount of $10.50 per cubic yard for 400 cubic yards and a request for an additional 200 cubic yards was made on May 17, 2000; and

WHEREAS, the award is not final until written notification is received by Land's End Acquisition Corporation from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska awards the bid for 400 cubic yards of City owned Dredge Spoils to Land's End Acquisition Corporation of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $4,200.00; grants Land's End Acquisition Corporation an additional 200 cubic yards for $10.50 per cubic yard and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 23rd day of May, 2000.
