A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE WATER METER/PRV INVENTORY MATERIAL AS DESCRIBED IN PURCHASE ORDER 50749, FROM BADGER METER, INC. OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,062.14.

WHEREAS, the City of Homer's 2000 budget authorized certain expenditures by the Public Works Department; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to purchase Water Meter/PRV Inventory material and this is a sole source bid item; and

WHEREAS, two bids were received with Badger Meter, Inc. submitting the lowest responsive bid in the amount of $9,062.14; and

WHEREAS, purchases in excess of $5,000.00 must be approved by Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:

Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase Water Meter/PRV Inventory Material as described in Purchase Order Number 50749, from Badger Meter, Inc. in the amount of $9,062.14; and

Section 2. That payment is to be made from Accounts 200.1413 [Inventory] in the amount of $8,673.04 and 200.5202.406 [Operating Supply] in the amount of $389.10.

Section 3. This Resolution takes effect upon passage.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 12th day of June, 2000.
