A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOMER, ALASKA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE COOPERATIVE FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF HOMER AND THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, DIVISION OF FORESTRY.

WHEREAS, the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry has a Cooperative Fire Protection Agreement with each of the structural fire fighting departments on the Kenai Peninsula; and

WHEREAS, this agreement allows the Fire Chief to sign the Annual Operating Plan with forestry, and enables the invoicing for wildland fire fighting services rendered outside of City limits.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Homer authorizes the City Manager to execute the Cooperative Fire Protection Agreement by and between the City of Homer and the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry.
