RESOLUTION 00-93

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL SUPPORTING AREA-WIDE PROJECTS.

WHEREAS, a duly published hearing was held on September 11, 2000 in order to obtain comments on the Area wide project of the City of Homer 2000 - 2006 Capital Improvement Program and Legislative priorities; and

WHEREAS, a number of such projects have an area wide benefit and should therefore be considered as priorities by the Kenai Peninsula Borough.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Homer, Alaska that the following capital improvement priorities are identified as projects of area-wide benefit and are recommended to the Kenai Peninsula Borough:

1. Kachemak Bay Campus Facility $ 8,000,000

2. Pratt Museum Fire Alarm/Security 42,000

3. Homer Senior Center Independent Housing 900,000

4. North Pacific Volcano Learning Center 15,000,000

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby instructed to advise the Kenai Peninsula Borough of the above area-wide priorities for the 2001 - 2006 Capital Improvement Program and to take all appropriate steps to provide the necessary background information.

PASSED AND APPROVED by a duly constituted quorum of the City Council for the City of Homer on this 25th day of September 2000.
