A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE BID FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT MID SIZE 4x4 PICKUP TRUCK FOB HOMER, ALASKA TO THE FIRM OF ALASKA SALES AND SERVICE, INC. OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $19,180.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer News on February 22 and March 1, 2001; in the Anchorage Daily News on February 22, 2001, in the Kenai Peninsula Clarion on February 22, 2001 and was posted on the City's Home Page; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on March 8, 2001; and

WHEREAS, five sealed bids were received and reviewed by Public Works with a recommendation to award to Alaska Sales and Service, Inc. in the amount of $19,180.00; and

WHEREAS, this award is not final until written notification is received by Alaska Sales and Service, Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska awards the Bid for the Public Works Department Mid Size 4X4 pickup truck FOB Homer, Alaska to the firm of Alaska Sales and Service, Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $19,180.00 and that the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 27th day of March, 2001.
