A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE PROPOSAL FOR PROFESSIONAL PLANNING AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE 1.0 MG WATER STORAGE IMPROVEMENT TO THE FIRM OF CHM2 HILL OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Request for Proposals was advertised in the Homer Tribune on November 22 and 29, 2000, in the Anchorage Daily News on November 26 and December 3, 2000 sent to three plans rooms and was posted on the City's Home Page; and

WHEREAS, Sealed proposals were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on January 9, 2001; and

WHEREAS, nine sealed proposals were received and reviewed by a selection committee with the recommendation to award to CH2M Hill in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00; and

WHEREAS, this award is not final until written notification is received by CH2M Hill of Anchorage, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska awards the proposal for professional planning and engineering services for the 1.0 MB water storage improvements to the firm of CH2M Hill of Anchorage, Alaska in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00 and that the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 27th day of March, 2001.
