SUBJ: RESOLUTION 01-29, Amending the Records Retention Schedule

A Records Liaison meeting was held on Wednesday, March 21, 2001. Some changes were discussed during that meeting and we have received a couple of memos requesting changes, which are attached as backup.

The State Local Government General Records Retention Schedule is being revised this year. I am on the Committee for that revision.

Further revisions will be necessary for compliance with the State L.G. General Records Retention Schedule and to address the changes in City Department responsibilities and duties. We plan to conduct another Records Liaison Meeting. Council's patience regarding these revisions is greatly appreciated.

Some acronyms and abbreviations are used in the retention schedule portion of the Resolution.

FRR - means the Federal Record Keeping Requirements.

C - means Current.

T - means Term

P - means Permanent
