RESOLUTION 01-35

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKAAWARDING THE BID FOR THE 2001 PUBLIC WORKS GRAVEL SUPPLY, GRVL-01, WINTER SAND IN THE AMOUNT OF $7.45 PER CY AND D-1 BASE COURSE IN THE AMOUNT OF $10.26 PER CY TO BROWN CONSTRUCTION OF KENAI, ALASKA AND THE 2" MINUS GRAVEL IN THE AMOUNT OF $9.07 PER CY TO T & C ENTERPRISES OF HOMER, ALASKA AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer Tribune on May 9 and 16, 2001, sent to three plans rooms and was posted on the City's Home Page; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on May 24, 2001; and

WHEREAS, five sealed bids were received with Brown Construction of Kenai, Alaska submitting the lowest responsive and responsible bid on the Winter Sand and D-1 Base Course and T & C Enterprises of Homer, Alaska submitting the lowest responsive and responsible bid on the 2" minus gravel; and

WHEREAS, this award is not final until written notification is received by Brown Construction of Kenai, Alaska and T & C Enterprises of Homer, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska awards the bid for the 2001 Public Works Gravel Supply, GRVL-01, winter sand in the amount of $7.45 per cy and D-1 base course in the amount of $10.26 per cy to Brown Construction of Kenai, Alaska and the 2" minus gravel in the amount of $9.07 per cy to T & C Enterprises of Homer, Alaska and authorizes the City Manager to Execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 11th day of June, 2001.
