RESOLUTION 01-60

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA ACCEPTING THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $70,000.00 FOR THE SOUTH PENINSULA WOMEN'S SERVICES RENOVATION/ADDITION SHELTER PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Alaska Department of Community and Economic Development has granted the South Peninsula Women's Services a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $70,000.00 for the renovation/addition to the Shelter; and

WHEREAS, this is a pass through grant that comes to the City, as the administrator of the grant and the grantee for the South Peninsula Women's Services; and

WHEREAS, the City, as the administrator/grantee must meet the requirements set forth in the grant agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby accepts the Alaska Department of Community and Economic Development, Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $70,000.00 for the South Peninsula Women's Services renovation/addition shelter project and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of Homer, Alaska this 27th day of August, 2001.
