RESOLUTION 01-63

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA RECOGNIZING KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH ORDINANCE 2001-04, ESTABLISHING THE E-911 BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN THE MANAGEMENT OF THE E-911 SYSTEM.

WHEREAS, the Homer Chief of Police has represented the City of Homer and served on the E-911 Board and Chief Robl recommends that it is in the City of Homer's best interest that this participation continue; and

WHEREAS, KPB Ordinance 2001-04 was adopted on April 3, 2001 to officially establish the E-911 Board of Directors; and

WHEREAS, by recognizing KPB Ordinance 2001-04 and signing onto the Interagency Agreement the City simply makes its long standing participation in the management of the E-911 system properly and officially recognized and endorsed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Homer City Council that the Kenai Peninsula Borough Ordinance 2001-04 is hereby recognized and that the City Manager is authorized to enter into an Interagency Agreement for continued participation in the management of the E-911 System.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 10th day of September, 2001.
