RESOLUTION 01-73

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKAAWARDING THE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE ANIMAL SHELTER FACILITY TO THE FIRM OF KLUGE & ASSOCIATES OF KENAI, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,480.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Request for Proposals was advertised in the Homer News on May 17 and 24, 2001, in the Anchorage Daily News on May 20, 2001, sent to three plans rooms and was posted on the City's Home Page; and

WHEREAS, Sealed proposals were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on June 4, 2001; and

WHEREAS, Three sealed proposals were received, evaluated and scored; and

WHEREAS, Kluge & Associates of Kenai, Alaska received the highest score from the evaluating team; and

WHEREAS, The City Council authorized the City Manager to develop a detailed scope of work and to negotiate a lump sum fee with Kluge & Associates on June 25, 2001 via Resolution 01-40.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the architectural services for the Animal Shelter Facility to the firm of Kluge & Associates of Kenai, Alaska in the amount of $36,480.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 22nd day of October, 2001.
