RESOLUTION 01-87(S)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKAAWARDING THE DESIGN/BUILD CONTRACT FOR THE OCEAN DRIVE LOOP BLUFF EROSION CONTROL PROJECT TO THE FIRMS OF PHUKAN, INC. AND COAST RANGE CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Request for Proposals was advertised in the Homer News on 9/13 & 20/01 and Anchorage Daily News 9/16/01, posted on Home Page on 9/13/01, and sent to three in state plans rooms; and

WHEREAS, sealed proposals were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 4:30 p.m. on October 4, 2001; and

WHEREAS, four sealed proposals were received and the Proposal Selection Team recommends that the project be awarded to Phukan, Inc. and Coast Range Construction whosubmitted the most responsive and responsible proposal; and

WHEREAS, this award is not final until written notification is received by Phukan, Inc. and Coastal Range Construction from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska awards the proposal for the Ocean Drive Loop Bluff Erosion Control Project to the firms of Phukan, Inc. and Coastal Range Construction and that the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 13th day of November, 2001.
