RESOLUTION 02-14(S)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION FOR A LOAN FROM THE ALASKA CLEAN WATER FUND FOR WASTEWATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the City of Homer seeks to obtain the necessary financial assistance to construct wastewater system improvements; and

WHEREAS, the State of Alaska, Department of Environmental Conservation is able to offer funding through the Alaska Clean Water Fund; and

WHEREAS, the City of Homer wishes to apply for a loan from the Alaska Clean Water Fund.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the City Manager is authorized to apply to the Department of Environmental Conservation for a loan from the Alaska Clean Water Fund for wastewater system improvements and to execute any and all documents that may be required by the Department of Environmental Conservation to reflect the indebtedness, the terms and of its repayment, and any security therefore, including but not limited to an agreement for the loan and a promissory note.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 25th day of February, 2002.
