                                                            RESOLUTION 02-31

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A METAL HARBOR WORKBOAT/TOWBOAT  TO THE FIRM OF SEA STATE ONE MARINE, LLC, OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 75,000.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

 

WHEREAS, the Request for Proposals  was advertised in the Homer News on April 4 and 11, Anchorage Daily News on April 11 and 18, sent to three in state plans rooms and posted on the City's Home Page; and

 

WHEREAS, sealed proposals were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on April 26, 2002; and

 

WHEREAS, six sealed proposals were received, evaluated, negotiated and a recommendation from Staff to award to Sea State One Marine, LLC, of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $75,000.00; and 

 

WHEREAS, this award is not final until written notification is received by Sea State One Marine, of Anchorage, Alaska by the City of Homer.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska awards the contract for the construction of a metal Harbor Workboat/Towboat to the firm of Sea State One Marine, LLC, of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $75,000.00 and that the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 28th day of May, 2002.
