RESOLUTION 02-47

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE DEEP WATER DOCK PEDESTAL CRANE INSTALLATION AND TRESTLE PANEL REPAIR TO THE FIRM OF POOL ENGINEERING OF KETCHIKAN, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $107,000.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer Tribune on June 19 and 26, 2002, Peninsula Clarion on June 19, 2002, the Anchorage Daily News on June 22, 2002, sent to two in state plans room, and posted on the City's Home Page; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2002; and

WHEREAS, one sealed bid was received with Pool Engineering of Ketchikan, Alaska submitting the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $107,000.00; and

WHEREAS, this award is not final until written notification is received by Pool Engineering of Ketchikan, Alaska by the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Homer City Council that the contract for the Deep Water Dock Pedestal Crane Installation and Trestle Panel Repair is hereby awarded to Pool Engineering of Ketchikan, Alaska in the amount of $107,000.00 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 22nd day of July, 2002.
