RESOLUTION 03-131
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING MINIMAL MAINTENANCE OF WADDELL WAY.
WHEREAS, The City Council has in the past authorized/allowed occasional grading of certain non maintained City streets and roads at the direction of the
Public Works Director; and
WHEREAS, Due to increased vehicular traffic on the Sterling Highway between Pioneer Avenue West and Lake Street Intersections it would be beneficial
to have an alternate route such as Waddell Way to alleviate traffic congestion on the Sterling Highway; and
WHEREAS, Waddell Way is a good alternate access to the Homer Post Office; and
WHEREAS, A portion of Waddell Way, south west portion, appears on the Official Road Maintenance Map as an Urban Road and the north east portion as
not designated or maintained; and
WHEREAS, The condition of the unmaintained portion of Waddell Way has many potholes and bumps.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Homer City Council hereby authorizes minimal maintenance of Waddell Way at the discretion and
direction of the Public Works Director.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 13th day of October, 2003.
