RESOLUTION 03-132

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, USA, EXPRESSING CONCERN TO HOMER'S SISTER CITY TESHIO, JAPAN, REGARDING THE RECENT EARTHQUAKE.

WHEREAS, Mayor Cushing, the City Council and the City of Homer wish to express their most sincere concern to Homer's Sister City, Teshio regarding the recent earthquake incident and sympathy for any damages and injuries caused by this incident; and

WHEREAS, It is Homer's desire to express concern to Teshio and its residents who may have friends and relatives in other parts of Japan who were also affected by the earthquake.

WHEREAS, Teshio's relationship and friendship to the City of Homer and its residents is highly esteemed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, USA, expresses concern to Homer's Sister City Teshio, Japan regarding the recent earthquake.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 13th day of October, 2003.
