RESOLUTION 03-145

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING THE CITY OF HOMER FEE SCHEDULE, FIRE DEPARTMENT AMBULANCE FEES, TO INCREASE THE FEES FOR BASIC LIFE SUPPORT, NON EMERGENCY TRANSPORT AND MILEAGE.

WHEREAS, The Fire Chief has recently completed a review of a survey conducted by Fairbanks Fire Chief Warren Cummings regarding the ambulance fees of Alaska Fire Departments; and

WHEREAS, Due to this survey there is justification to raise the existing fees for Basic Life Support, Non Emergency Transport and Mileage.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the City of Homer Fee Schedule, Fire Department Ambulance Fees, is hereby to increase the fees for Basic Life Support, Non Emergency Transport and Mileage as follows:

Ambulance

Basic Life Support $250 $350

Advanced Life Support $500

Non-Emergency Transport $300 $350

Standby each half hour $ 25

Mileage $5/mi $7/mi

Fiscal Note: These rates increases are anticipated to add $25,000.00 per year to Ambulance Fee Revenues.
