RESOLUTION 03-151

 

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA RENAMING HOPKINS WAY TO JAKES LITTLE FIREWEED LANE WITHIN THE CITY OF HOMER.

 

 

WHEREAS, a method has been developed to help implement the Enhanced 9-1-1 Street Addressing project; and,

 

WHEREAS, the during the implementation of the Emergency 911 street renaming project in 1996 the City named that portion of street right-of-way within the City of Homer as Hopkins Way, and,

 

WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough, in 1997, renamed the north portion of the right-of-way outside the City limits as Jake’s Little Fireweed Lane, and

 

WHEREAS, this street was included as part of the City of Homer’s  annexation area and,

 

WHEREAS, the Homer Advisory Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed street name change on November 19, 2003.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Homer, Alaska that the following street is renamed as follows:

 

Hopkins Way within Thompson Subdivision to be named Jake’s Little Fireweed Lane.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of Homer, Alaska this  ______ day of _______________ , 2003.
