RESOLUTION 03-33

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND SHIPPING OF A BOOM TRUCK IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,000.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, Public Works budgeted $245,000.00 for a front end loader that ended up costing $163,000.00; and

WHEREAS, Public Works has stated the need for a boom truck for street light and airport parking lot light maintenance, to install and maintain signage, street banners, gutter maintenance, etcetera; and

WHEREAS, There are sufficient unexpended budgeted funds in account 152-383 for the purchase of a boom truck.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Homer City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of a boom truck in the amount of $35,000.00, which includes shipping, and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.
