RESOLUTION 03-37

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA REPEALING ANY AND ALL CITY ACTION TO RENAME THOSE PORTIONS OF EAST END ROAD AND KACHEMAK BAY DRIVE THAT ARE INSIDE THE HOMER CITY LIMITS.

WHEREAS, The Homer City Council adopted Resolutions 03-21, 93-49 and 93-50, renaming those portions of East End Road to East Road and Kachemak Bay Drive to Kachemak Drive that were inside the City Limits; and

WHEREAS, The City was informed that it did not have the jurisdictional power to rename a state street whether inside the City limits or not; and

WHEREAS, The City Council requested, on February 24, 2003, that staff present a Resolution to repeal said action.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Homer City Council hereby repeals any and all City action to rename those portions of East End Road and Kachemak Bay Drive that are inside the Homer City Limits; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that these names shall be so designated on the City of Homer's Official Road Maintenance Map.
