RESOLUTION 03-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AUTHORIZING THAT NECESSARY ACTIONS
BE TAKEN BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL TO INFORM STATE AND FEDERAL OFFICIALS OF THE
IMPORTANCE OF PHASE II OF THE HOMER DEEP WATER DOCK, AND THAT AN OFFICIAL
REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, APPOINTED BY THE MAYOR OF HOMER,
PRESENT THIS RESOLUTION OF INTRODUCTION AND RESOLUTION 03-44 REQUESTING FUNDING FOR
PHASE II OF THE HOMER DEEP WATER DOCK TO THE ALASKAN DELEGATION IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
WHEREAS, Resolution 03-44 has been approved by the Homer City Council, and
WHEREAS, the need to complete Phase II of the Homer Deep Water Dock is recognized by the Homer City Council as a
need critical to the welfare of the City of Homer, the Kenai Peninsula and the State of Alaska and the Mayor of Homer and
the Homer City Council will take necessary actions to convey this need to State and Federal officials, and
WHEREAS, Resolution 03-45 also serves to direct the Mayor to identify an individual to officially present Resolution
03-44 to Alaska's Federal delegation in Washington, D.C.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska authorizes necessary steps to inform
State and Federal delegations of the need for Phase II of the Homer Deep Water Dock and that an official representative of
the City of Homer be designated by the Mayor of Homer to present Resolution 03-44 to the Alaska delegation in
Washington, D.C.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 10th day of March, 2003.
