RESOLUTION 04-02

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PORT SECURITY FENCE AND GATE INSTALLATION TO THE FIRM OF EAST ROAD SERVICES, INC. OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,989.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid for the Homer Port Security Fence and Gate Installation was rebid; and

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Rebid was advertised in the Homer News on December 11 and 18, 2003, in the Anchorage Daily News on December 11, 2003 with an additional publication due to an omission on the ad by the Anchorage Daily News, posted on the City Clerk's Project Website and sent to plans rooms; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due by 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 and three sealed bids were received by the City Clerk's Office; and

WHEREAS, The firm of East Road Services, Inc. of Homer, Alaska submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid and the Port/Harbor Director recommends awarding the contract for the installation of the Port Security Fence and Gate to East Road Services, Inc. in the amount of $39,989.00; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by East Road Services, Inc. of Homer, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the contract for the Homer Port Security Fence and Gate Installation to the firm of East Road Services, Inc. of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $39,989.00 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 12th day of January, 2004.
