RESOLUTION 04-03

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL PLANNING SERVICES FOR A HOMER NON MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION AND TRAIL PLAN TO THE FIRM OF DOWL ENGINEERS OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $29,986.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Request for Proposals for Professional Planning Services for a Homer Non Motorized Transportation and Trails Plan was advertised in the Homer News on November 13, 20 and 27, 2003, the Anchorage Daily News on November 16, 23, and 30 2003, sent to Plans Rooms and posted on the City Clerk's Internet Site; and

WHEREAS, Sealed proposals were due by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 and six sealed proposals were received by the City Clerk's Office; and

WHEREAS, The Evaluation/Selection Team met and reviewed those proposals received with a recommendation to award the contract to the firm of Dowl Engineers, of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $29,986.00; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Dowl Engineers from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the Contract for the Professional Planning Services for a Homer Non Motorized Transportation and Trail Plan to the firm of Dowl Engineers of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $29,986.00 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 12th day of January, 2004.
