RESOLUTION 04-05

 

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA RENAMING FORREST GLENN STREET TO TUNDRA ROSE ROAD WITHIN THE CITY OF HOMER IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ENHANCED 9-1-1 STREET ADDRESSING PROGRAM.

 

 

            WHEREAS, a method has been developed to implement the Enhanced 9-1-1 Street Addressing project; and,

 

            WHEREAS, with the annexation of additional streets, some with names similar to existing streets within the City of Homer; and,

 

            WHEREAS, streets with similar names within the same Emergency Service Number (ESN) area must be revised; and,

 

            WHEREAS, the Homer Advisory Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed street name change on October 1, 2003; and,

 

            WHEREAS, the Homer Advisory Planning Commission discussed the proposed name change at the November 19th, December 3rd and December 17, 2003 regular commission meetings.

 

            NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska that the following street is renamed as follows:

 

            Forrest Glenn Street within Westwood Estates and Foss Acre Subdivisions to be named Tundra Rose Road.

           

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of Homer, Alaska this 12th day of January, 2004.
