A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL REVISING THE CITY OF HOMER FEE SCHEDULE, PLANNING AND ZONING FEES.
WHEREAS, The City of Homer has an adopted Fee Schedule setting out fees, including fees for zoning permits, conditional use permits and other permits associated with the Department of Planning, and
WHEREAS, The City recently updated the Fee Schedule, including an increase in fees for conditional use permits; and
WHEREAS, The Fee Schedule has a scaled cost associated with the square footage of proposed multifamily, commercial and industrial developments, and
WHEREAS, All uses 15,000 square feet or larger are charged a conditional use permit fee of $5,000, and
WHEREAS, Increasingly large projects require more staff time and expense to the City to process, and
WHEREAS, The development of large retail and wholesale standards and traffic impact analysis standards created the need for professional services to complete traffic impact analysis and community impact and economic assessment, and
WHEREAS, The Fee Schedule should be amended to state the applicant will be responsible for paying for these professional services and that the City is responsible for selecting and contracting out the traffic impact analysis and community impact assessment.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council that the City of Homer Fee Schedule is hereby revised as follows:

$1,000 for uses 8,000 sq. ft.

for uses 8,001sq ft to 15,000 sq ft
$2,500 for uses 15,001 sq ft to 25,000 sq ft
$5,000 for uses 25,001 sq ft
to 40,000 sq ft
