RESOLUTION 04-66

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOMER, ALASKA ACCEPTING A PUBLIC LIBRARY ASSISTANCE GRANT OF $6,250 FOR FY 2005 FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA LIBRARY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, FY 2005 is July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005; and

WHEREAS, As stated in the award letter of June 24, 2004 from Patience Frederiksen, Grants Administrator, the grant requires a local match of $7,000.00; and

WHEREAS, Traditionally this match has been made through the Library's operating budget, and is budgeted in account 100.146.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council accepts a Public Library Assistance Grant of $6,250.00 for FY 2005 from the State of Alaska Library and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Library will continue the practice of spending these grant funds on materials for the collection.
