RESOLUTION 05-10

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE HILLSIDE ACRES WATER AND SEWER PROJECT TO THE FIRM OF HERNDON CONSTRUCTION LLC OF HOMER, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,978,714.50 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer Tribune on December 15 and 22, 2004 and in the Peninsula Clarion on December 19, 2004, posted on Clerk's home page, and sent to four plans rooms; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18 2005 and four sealed bids were received by the City Clerk's Office; and

WHEREAS, The lowest responsible, responsive Bidder is Herndon Construction LLC of Homer, Alaska submitting a bid in the amount of $1,978,714.50; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Herndon Construction LLC of Homer, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the contract Hillside Acres Water and Sewer Project to the Firm of Herndon Construction LLC of Homer, Alaska in an Amount not to Exceed $1,978,714.50 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 24th day of January, 2005.
