RESOLUTION
05-101
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY
COUNCIL SUPPORTING AREA-WIDE PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, A duly published hearing
was held on September 26, 2005 in order to obtain comments on the Area wide projects
of the City of Homer 2006 - 2011 Capital Improvement Plan and Legislative
priorities; and
WHEREAS, A number of such projects
have an area wide benefit and should therefore be considered as priorities by
the Kenai Peninsula Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by
the City Council of Homer, Alaska that the following Capital Improvement
Priorities are identified as projects of significant area-wide benefit and are
recommended to the Kenai Peninsula Borough:
1. Deep Water Dock Construction Phase 2
2. Water Treatment Plant - Alternative Water
Source Feasibility Study
3. Kachemak Bay Branch UA Campus continued
Expansion, includes possible purchase of City Hall which may assist in obtaining a new City Hall in the
Town Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City
Manager is hereby instructed to advise the Kenai Peninsula Borough of the above
area-wide priorities for the 2006-2011 Capital Improvement Plan and to take all
appropriate steps to provide the necessary background information.
PASSED AND APPROVED by a duly
constituted quorum of the City Council for the City of Homer on this 10th day
of October 2005.
