RESOLUTION 05-105

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE DIGITALIZATION OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY RADIO SYSTEM TO PROCOMM ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,294.00, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TEN PORTABLE RADIOS FROM REVL COMMUNICATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,292.70 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The current HPD radio system is Motorola based and was designed and installed by PROCOMM Alaska, the only authorized Motorola dealer in the state; and

WHEREAS, The Fire Chief received a bid from Revl Communications in Anchorage for ten portable radios.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the contract for the Digitalization of the Public Safety Radio System to PROCOMM Alaska of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $24,294.00, authorizing the purchase of ten portable radios from Revl Communications of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $5,292.70 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 24th day of October, 2005.
