RESOLUTION 05-46

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE ART WORK FOR THE NEW HOMER ANIMAL SHELTER TO MOOSE RUN METALSMITHS OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $$7,3564.40, TO THE BEAR MAN OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,112.60 AND TO BROWN BEAR PRODUCTS OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $620.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Request for Sealed Proposals was advertised in the Homer News on December 16 and 23, 2004 and posted on the City Clerk's Project Internet Site; and

WHEREAS, Sealed proposals were due by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2005 in the Office of the City Clerk; and

WHEREAS, Six sealed proposals were received and reviewed by the Selection Committee; and

WHEREAS, The Selection Committee recommends that Moose Run Metalsmiths of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $7,3564.40, "The Bear Man of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $1,112.60 and Brown Bear Products of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $620.00 be awarded the Art Work for the New Homer Animal Shelter; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Moose Run Metalsmiths of Homer, Alaska, "The Bear Man of Homer, Alaska and Brown Bear Products of Homer, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the New Animal Shelter Art to Moose Run Metalsmiths of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $7,3564.40, "The Bear Man" of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $1,112.60 and Brown Bear Products of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $620.00 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 9th day of April, 2005.
