RESOLUTION 05-53

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE CITY OF HOMER 2005 LAND ALLOCATION PLAN.

WHEREAS, The Property Management Policy and Procedures Manual sets policy for municipal land management; and

WHEREAS, Chapter 3 of the Property Management Policy and Procedures Manual establishes that a Land Allocation Plan will be developed annually; and

WHEREAS, The City Council, Lease Committee, the Advisory Commissions and Board discussed the Land Allocation Plan during Council's Committee of the Whole on March 14, 2005; and

WHEREAS, The Parks and Recreation Commission in response to Council's direction held a public hearing and addressed the public purpose dedications of the Hazel Avenue Library parcels, Oscar Munson Lot 79 on Cranberry Place, Harry Feyer Lot 1 on Kachemak Drive, Spit Trail and parking matters, and the use of Government Lot 13 for Spit parking and is noted in Memorandum 05-117 ; and

WHEREAS, The Parks and Recreation Commission reaffirmed their support of green spaces, parks, trails and Spit parking.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the City of Homer 2005 Land Allocation Plan is hereby approved with the following notations:

1. Rogers Loop Road ROW Strip be designated for road purposes.
