RESOLUTION 05-61

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE PRISONER MEAL SERVICE CONTRACT TO THE HOMER SENIOR CITIZENS, INC., OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $8.00 PER MEAL, $5.00 PER DELIVERY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer News on April 21 and 28, 2005 and posted on Clerk's Project Internet Web Site; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2005 and one sealed bid was received by the City Clerk's Office; and

WHEREAS, The lowest responsible and responsive Bidder is the Homer Senior Citizens Inc. of Homer, Alaska, submitting a bid in the amount of $8.00 per meal and $5.00 per delivery; and

WHEREAS, This is a one year contract with options for town one-year renewals; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Homer Senior Citizens Inc. of Homer, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the Prisoner Meal Service Contract to the Homer Senior Citizens Inc. of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $8.00 per meal and $5.00 per delivery and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 24th day of May, 2005.
