RESOLUTION 05-62(S)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE BID AND CONTRACT FOR THE DEEP WATER DOCK CORROSION PROTECTION RETROFIT TO INLET OFFSHORE DIVING/SALVAGE, OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $480,100.00, BASE BID AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer Tribune on April 27 and May 4, 2005, Peninsula Clarion on May 1, 2005, Anchorage Daily News on April 30, 2005, sent to instate and out of state plans rooms and posted on the City Clerk's Project Internet Web Site; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2005 and four sealed bids were received by the City Clerk's Office; and

WHEREAS, The lowest responsible and responsive bidder is Inlet Offshore Diving/Salvage of Anchorage, Alaska, submitting a bid in the amount of $540,000.00 - Base Bid $480,100.00 and Deductive Alternate Bid $59,900.00; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Inlet Offshore Diving/Salvage of Anchorage, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the Bid and Contract for the Deep Water Dock Corrosion Protection Retrofit to Inlet Offshore Diving/Salvage of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $480,100.00 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 24th day of May, 2005.
