A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF HOMER HILL TOP AND MID HILL PRESSURE REDUCTION VALVE (PRV) STATIONS TO THE FIRM OF TWIN PEAKS CONSTRUCTION, INC. OF ANCHOR POINT, ALASKA IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $654,069.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer Tribune on August 31 and September 7, in the Peninsula Clarion on September 3, 2005, posted on Clerk's home page, and sent to three in state plans rooms; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 and two sealed bids were received by the City Clerk's Office; and

WHEREAS, The lowest responsible and responsive Bidder is the firm of Twin Peaks Construction, Inc. of Anchor Point, Alaska submitting the lowest responsible and responsive base bid in the amount of $654,069.00; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Twin Peaks Construction, Inc. of Anchor Point, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the contract for the Replacement of Homer Hill Top and Mid Hill PRV Stations to the firm of Twin Peaks Construction, Inc. of Anchor Point, Alaska in an amount not to exceed $654,069.00 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 26th day of September, 2005.
