RESOLUTION 06-110

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER TO ADD W. SOUNDVIEW AND WADDELL WAY TO THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2006 STREET REPAVING PROJECT WITH QUALITY ASPHALT PAVING (QAP) OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $76,000.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, QAP was awarded the 2006 Street Repaving project in the amount of $492,400.00, and

WHEREAS, The engineer's estimate was $552,883.00; and

WHEREAS, The City Council budgeted $600,000.00 via Ordinance 04-16(S), that was reconfirmed via Resolution 06-60 on May 22, 2006; and

WHEREAS, The balance of the budgeted amount provided sufficient funds to repave W. Soundview and Waddell Way.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby authorizes a Change Order to add W. Soundview and Waddell Way to the Contract for the 2006 Repaving Project with QAP in the amount of $76,000.00 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 14th day of August, 2006.
